The terms governing use of IDN Network's websites, APIs, and handle registry.
1. Who we are
IDN Network (“International Digital Names”) is operated by IDN Company LLC.. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and IDN Company LLC. governing your access to and use of our services, including the Agent Naming Service, the resolver API, and developer tooling.
2. Handle reservations
Reserving a handle grants you a renewable, time-limited license to use that handle within the IDN registry. Reservations do not constitute trademark rights. We maintain trademark protections and a reserved-word list to limit abuse and squatting.
3. Keys and security
Private keys are generated in your browser and shown to you once. We never store your private key. You are solely responsible for safekeeping your keys; lost keys cannot be recovered by IDN.
4. Acceptable use
- No impersonation, fraud, or unlawful activity.
- No attempts to disrupt, overload, or reverse the resolver.
- No infringement of third-party intellectual property.
5. Registration and renewals
Any terms and renewal periods that apply to a registered handle are presented at the point of registration. A grace period applies after expiry before a handle returns to the public pool.
6. Disclaimers
Services are provided “as is” during the pre-general-availability period. We may change features and timelines as the protocol matures across its planned tiers.
